RSVP

Do you know the purpose of RSVP cards? Simply, it's so the host can have an accurate count of guests to ensure enough food, drinks, favors, etc.

There are responsibilities and proper etiquette requirements on not only the host but the guests, as well. As an invited guest, it is your responsibility to respond to your host by the deadline given. Typically, RSVP cards are self-addressed and stamped so there is no cost to you, the guest, but remember your host has incurred the expense and for you and to not respond is literally throwing money in the garbage; and it is just plain rude. They have thought enough of you to invite you to be a part of their special occasion, the least you can do is accept or decline their offer respectfully.

Tip: You usually know, when the invitation arrives, whether or not you are going to attend. Complete the RSVP card and drop it in the mailbox the next day, before you forget. If you really aren't sure of your attendance, set a reminder on your cell phone calendar or calendar at work two weeks prior to the deadline.

Remember, this is a joyous and stressful time for your host, they run to the mailbox everyday to see if any responses have come in. To know you took the time to return the card right away tells your host you care about their feelings. Also, they can get the calligrapher started on your personalized name tag :)

Welcome!

Cm Events is now blogging! Follow our blog to find out the latest and greatest around the Cartersville, GA area and all of Metro-Atlanta.

In this day and age of reality shows, weddings and parties have followed suit. Some popular wedding and party themed reality shows include "Bridezillas", "My Super Sweet 16" and "Whose Wedding Is it Anyway?". Well, Carterville has its own premier wedding and event planning firm Cm Events. Cm Events offers full service event and wedding planning with packages that include everything needed for your event from invitations to thank you cards and specializes in working with clients on modest budgets; and developing and creating themed activities with unique decor and favors.

Even though we are going through hard economic times, we still need to celebrate those once in a life-time events. Employing the services of a professional wedding/event planner can save you money in terms of time, stress and costly planning mistakes. Wedding and event planning are not services exclusive to the rich and famous; they're for anyone with the desire to have a well thought-out function, who wants to enjoy the planning process and most of all enjoy the festivities with their guests.

Among Cm Events' most recent events was the wedding of Elizabeth and Rene, both residents of Cartersville for more than 20 years. Elizabeth and Rene, members of Greater New Fellowship Missionary Baptist church decided to have the ceremony at Mt. Zion Baptist church to accommodate the more than 200 guests. The reception was held at Trinity Family Life Center and all of the vendors are located in the Cartersville area.
